“Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.”
– Thomas Jefferson

I’ve seen it happen thousands of times: a smart, creative entrepreneur (like you) offers something of great value, is working HARD to get clients and income…and yet, the results just aren’t showing up.

Sharing your offerings (you know, those things you love to do and are really good at) with people who need you starts becoming an uphill battle. Sometimes, it starts to seem like it’s not really worth it;

This past year has been a huge lesson in something I know to be true: it’s not what happens, it’s how we react to it. You are going to be soooo inspired by THIS story:

The Warehouse of the Future is Being Molded by Technology

When the general public hears the word “warehouse,” they most likely envision a rather low-tech environment. After all, a warehouse is but a large building filled with shelves and boxes, right? That may have been true in the past, but today these facilities are on the cutting edge of technology in a big way.

The demands of e-commerce and the impact it has had on traditional retail have made speed and efficiency absolutely essential. Warehousing is a critical link in the supply chain, and as such it needs to adopt every technological advantage to keep up with consumers’

Limiting Beliefs

Limiting beliefs are things we say to ourselves based on assumptions and perceptions of our reality.

How does a limiting belief hold us back in life?  We believe what we tell ourselves.  If we tell ourselves we can’t, then we don’t.  If we tell ourselves we should or must we resist the implied external control.

Where do these limiting beliefs come from?  As with other beliefs, they come from our culture, education, familial beliefs, and personal experiences in life.  As we learn and experience, so we believe.

How do we know if we have a limiting belief?  We

I love talking about that great leap of faith, really expanding our vision of what’s possible for our business, for our clients and for ourselves, and ‘Going BIG or Going HOME’. Woo hoo!

Limiting beliefs are beliefs that inhibit us from our full potential.  They constrain us by merely thinking them.  Limiting beliefs are about ourselves, our identity, others, or the world in general.

Examples of some common limiting beliefs are simple, everyday statements:

I should/shouldn’t or must/ mustn’t:

We ARE bound by the law.  We are NOT bound by our should or must.  For example, we may say, “I should clean the house every day.”  Saying “should” makes it less likely to happen and we have not broken any laws anyways.  We may

Common issues and challenges facing manufacturers in 2021

We can all agree that 2020 was quite the tumultuous year for manufacturing, and for most every other industry out there. We’ve all had to pivot on a dime to accommodate COVID-19 workplace protocols and procedures, and that one change alone hit manufacturing especially hard. When the simple act of getting onto the shop floor for a shift takes more time than ever before (with temperature checks and other procedures), and with fewer people on the job at one time because of distancing measures, productivity numbers go down very quickly. That’s to say nothing of supply chain disruptions,

When you know better, you do better.

You may recall the childhood rhyme, “Sticks and stones may break bones, but words will never hurt.” This seemingly simple adage was passed on by our parents as a way of protecting us from bullies and people who said unkind things to us.  Through hindsight, I have learned that this rhyme is neither true nor a protective measure.  Even when good people who do not understand the power of words have good intentions, words can have adverse or unintended negative results.  Accepting the concept, “words will

What do you do when your demand is greater than your ability to meet it? This is one of the big issues some of our clients in the metals industry are facing these days as increased demand is matching or exceeding what is believed to be their capacity. Our customers who are dealing with demand management problems tend to come to us when they’re mired in what they believe is a lesser-of-two-evils choice. An option can be to increase capacity by investing in new capital assets but

“Traditional learning will make you a living. Self-education will make you a fortune.”

There’s usually one very big difference between highly successful people and people who wish they were highly successful: the willingness to invest in yourself.

You see, people who have achieved great things understand that they were not born with the silver spoon of marketing in their mouth, nor the silver spoon of sales in their mouth or the silver spoon of a perfect mindset.

They realize that they, like everybody else, are a work-in-progress.

More than one coach has shared their motivation to help others and make a difference.  Choosing to become a coach often hinges on this desire.  Coaches talk about the work time developing others was what they enjoyed the most while in a job.  Fully embracing the idea of each person being empowered is essential.

The choice to start the journey for becoming a coach is commonly tied to the desire to be of service and make a difference.  Of note: the journey to becoming a coach is more than coach training and credentialing.

“The day you plant the seed is NOT the day you eat the fruit. Don’t worry, don’t get frustrated, be persistent. It’s on its way to you.”

That’s a thought that always stays with me in taking my business (or one of my clients’ businesses) to the very next level. Thing is, we’re conditioned through the media that everything is supposed to happen miraculously quickly in our lives:

“Thinner thighs in 30 days”

“Quit smoking in 2 hours”

“Build your list to 30,000 people in 4 months”

“Sell $100,000 worth of products in 2 hours”

Whoa.
